Art is something that we do. Vigorously and and persistantly. It is something that we have been busy our whole lives. It is fueled by the endless hunger for poetry, creation and play. Through keeping the fire of this doing alive, is conscious devotion and active on-going process. In our vocabulary, being artist goes beyond and below of profession, careerpath and other definitions as such. It is deeply integrated into life (without forgetting the death) and a way of serving and celebrating it. As truly as dared.
We have been fortunate enough to be born and live in a context, where making art has never been in serious discourse with personal safety or basic human needs. Awarness of this gives us responsibility to make our devotion to create, as true and wholesome as possible, keeping our eyes and hearts open to hear what is. To strive to be always the first one to respect the process our own making; from the tiniest of scrumbles and vaguest of noodlings to obsessivly polished sculptings. This doing is in a constant dynamic relationship with the ever-changing (inner-outer) landscapes, often informed by spontaneity and always tracing back to the body and its gravity. A beast fleeing from its definitions, hungry for stories and bounded to motion. Inspired by the unknown and ordinary: classical paintings, grandmas and the mumble of the local drunk. Weaved loosely together by the threads of a vagabond weaver.
