There was a time when I didn't find space to dance.
I don't mean physical space, because there is Always space to dance.
And I don't mean social or cultural space, because there has been dances happening and will be, in the spaces way more challenged, that I have encountered myself (That's why opressor fears the power of untamed free dance)
At the time I didn't find a space to dance, it was more of internal matter. Dance starts from invitations, they say, and sometimes that invitation can be lost.
For some reason in the skateparks I have never felt lack of invitation (or need for one). So when I didn't find space to dance, I kept coming to icy skateparks to "skateboard without skateboard", getting strange kind of satisfaction from the awarness of the complete lack of purposness of my activities, combined withprofound joy and drive I had while engaged in doing
I guess I didn't learn anything deep in the end of the process. Gradually I just went back to dancing and decided to think other things than inner reasons and invitatations. There is so much to do.
And we never had invitations anyway.
