Nangilima Residency is an artist residency place and performing art centrum, based on the island of El Hierro, UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve of the Canary Islands/Spain
Nangilima Residency offers a frame work where practical everyday life intersects with artistic exploration; in silence and tranquility, free from external stimuli, distractions and hurry, and close to the unique diverse nature of the island. We acknowledge how art, regardless the medium, is inherently linked to the physiological body and provide a safe and professionally guided resources for the artists to immerse from there into their work. In the fast changing world we provide a haven for passionate art practitioners to reconnect to simple trust in their own source for creating.
We interconnect between art professionals and local population, and stand for creating high quality art in one of the most remote places of Europe.
