CALIMA researches on female practices of endurance and persistence. This short dance film is inspired by El Hierros sparse landscapes shaped by volcano outbrakes decades ago - connecting to feeling of a lifetime passing from an enduring but persistent role. Women held in hundreds of years and still hold.
„We carry each other, since the earth is the same we all have been walking on. So that the earth may be carried, too. Persistent through the mealstrom of time, still we hold.“
